Being multi-cultural (Lebanese and Filipino descent)
while surrounded and guided by friends and family
led me to various experiences in life.
I was employed:
as a call center agent
as an English tutor
as a game tester
as a nurse
Now in my late 20s, I realised something
I've always felt like the path I've been walking was never mine,
that I've been going left instead of going right.
I appreciate everything (education as a nurse fully covered by family and relatives),
but I've never felt that it was my calling. Being a nurse here in the UK for 5 years taught me many things
but an important one that stuck with me
is that it's okay to follow your passions
As I started learning what it meant to be a programmer,
I felt like I was a cube that stopped trying to fit through a cylindrical tube and finally fitting into a square path.
The reason I'm applying for this programme is:
With the support of my partner and my loved ones,
I think it's time for me to fork this path I'm currently on and finally chase my dream
and this website for Founders and Coders is my first step towards achieving it.
